Belmont celebrates Christmas, more parades to come

The Christmas season has kicked off in Gaston County. Belmont ushered in the season Tuesday afternoon. Still want to soak up some holiday cheer? Here is a list of upcoming parades:

  • Kings Mountain’s Christmas parade will begin at 3 p.m. Dec. 2, and will be held at Patriot Park.

  • The Gastonia Christmas parade will be on Sunday, Dec. 3. The event begins at 3 p.m. at Rotary Pavilion. The parade kicks off at 5 p.m., and the tree lighting will follow. The event wraps up at 7 p.m.

  • Cramerton’s Christmas parade and village will begin at 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at Centennial Center.

  • The Cherryville Christmas parade will take place downtown starting at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 9.

  • The city of Lowell will host a Christmas parade and market starting at 1 p.m. Dec. 9 at McCord Family Park.

  • The town of Dallas Christmas parade will start at 3 p.m. on Dec. 10, and will be held on the square.

  • Stanley’s Christmas parade will begin at 3 p.m. Dec. 13, and be held downtown.

  • Mount Holly’s Christmas parade will begin at 6 p.m., Dec. 16, and will be held downtown, passing through Central Avenue and Main Street.
