Bemidji Area Community Band to close out 2022 summer season with Aug. 7 concert

Aug. 5—BEMIDJI — Conductor Scott Guidry will strike up the Bemidji Area Community Band for its fourth and final summer concert of the season on Sunday, Aug. 7.

states.

Thomas Allen's "Whip and Spur" march will open the evening followed by Clare Grundman's "Fantasy on American Sailing Songs."

Other selections include "John Williams in Concert," a medley of the American composer's work from "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial," "Star Wars" and "Jaws" among other compositions.

Selections from "Les Miserables" will close out the evening with tunes including "At The End of the Day," "I Dreamed a Dream," "Master of the House," "On My Own" and "Do You Hear the People Sing?"

Sponsored by Iverson Corner Drug, the concert will be held at 7 p.m. on the lawn south of Bangsberg Hall on the Bemidji State University campus.

There is no admission charge, but free-will donations will be accepted.
