Bench warrant list released by the Bluefield WV Police Department

BLUEFIELD, WV (WVNS) — A bench warrant list was released by the Bluefield West Virginia Police Department on February 7, 2024.

The Bluefield City Municipal Court released the warrants, however it is not the entire warrant list. The people listed could be wanted for many reasons, not just traffic tickets, that include DUI, prostitution, assault, destruction of property, possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, obstructing an officer, or other offenses.

The Police Department states that anyone on the list can turn themselves in at the Bluefield City Police Department, where they will be processed through the jail and then given a bond amount. If bond is made, the person will be released and given a future court date. For those with show cause warrants, the person can pay the fine at the Bluefield City Police Department and get the warrant dismissed.

The listed individuals have had previous convictions of crime charged through the City of Bluefield. The defendants are believed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
