Bengals tease white tiger helmets for upcoming season

The Cincinnati Bengals announced today they will be wearing white tiger-themed helmet at some point this upcoming season.

For the past 40 years, the team has worn the same striped helmet in every game. This will mark the first time in franchise history that the team will wear an alternate helmet, according to a report from CBS Sports.

Instead of wearing the orange helmet with black stripes for all games during the 2022 season, they will also wear the new helmet for at least one game. The team teased the new look in a video posted to both their website and social media accounts.

“When you wear a helmet like that... you either got to put up or shut up,” the team’s website read.

The NFL rescinded its “one-helmet” rule in 2021, allowing teams to wear an alternate helmet starting with this upcoming season.

The Bengals are now the fifth team to announce the use of the new helmet this offseason, CBS Sports reports.
