What do you do for fun? Play golf, and solving the Rubik's cube

Whom do you admire and why? Tiger Woods. I admire him because he fought the pain and adversity and was able to come back from injuries and setbacks which seemed impossible.

Educational goals: Complete two years at Cape Fear Community College, and transfer to NC State for a four-year degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering.

Career goals: Aerospace engineering, or another field of engineering if I change my mind while in college.

For Stephen O'Neil, career & technical education teacher, how does this student's exemplary behavior illustrate the goals your school is pursuing? I can't think of a better example than a student of mine who recently completed the entire courseware in my curriculum! Mr. Benjamin Tran has accomplished all five5 certifications in the process. They are Autodesk AutoCAD Certified User, Autodesk Inventor Certified User, Autodesk Revit Certified User, Autodesk Inventor Certified Professional, and Autodesk Revit Certified Professional. As far as I can tell, that's a first for the county! He's an aspiring engineer and high-end school golfer here at Ashley as well. This exemplary student best personifies the blending of both academics AND athletics in a way in which school can be a positive force in preparing them for post-secondary studies and/or schooling.
