Benjamin watches lead grow

Nov. 10—Francis Benjamin's lead is still increasing in the race for Pullman mayor.

Benjamin now leads with 1,832 votes compared to Debra McNeil's 1,567.

Eric Fejeran is ahead of Holly Greystone for the city council Ward 6 seat, by a margin of 1,607 votes to 1,464.

Tim Sievers is still outdoing April Borden for Palouse mayor, 175 votes to 78.

The race for Endicott Town Council seat 3 is neck-and-neck, with Nick Nicora leading with 32 votes compared to Megan Webster's 31.

Todd Jensen and Mandi Prince are now tied for the Tekoa council seat 1,104 to 104 votes.

The apparent results in most rural Whitman County races weren't affected by Wednesday's update, other than a couple of propositions.

Farmington's levy of $18,000 has now been rejected, with 27 no votes to 25 yes votes. The measure would finance street maintenance, Property owners would pay an extra $298 per $100,000 in assessed home value.

Whitman County has 22,562 registered voters. The voter turnout was around 28%. About 6,220 ballots were counted Tuesday, with an estimated 3,500 ballots left to count.

The Whitman County auditor will provide an update at 8 p.m. Monday.
