Benton County enacts no wake zone on Little Rock Lake until May 31

Benton County enacted a no wake zone on Little Rock Lake Tuesday due to high water levels, according to the Benton County Administrator's office.

The zone extends 150 feet from the shore and is in effect until May 31 due to concerns of damage to docks, boat lifts and shoreline erosion.

Stearns County implemented a no wake restriction within 300 feet of shore on Grass Lake, Clearwater Lake, Augusta Lake, Carolina Lake, Lake Maria and Lake Louisa bordering Wright County. Koronis, Rice, Brown and Big Lake also have no wake restrictions.

Lakes with posted "Emergency No Wake Zone" signs require boaters operate watercraft at slow or no wake speeds. These lakes include Two Rivers and the entire Sauk River Chain of Lakes in the Richmond and Cold Spring area.
