Take-and-bake 16-inch pizzas and homemade chicken corn noodle and ham and bean soup sold by the quart. Costs: plain pizza, $10; pepperoni, $12; soups, $5.50. The Pennsylvania Long Rifle or The Kentucky Rifle, 2 p.m., Berks County Heritage Center, 1102 Red Bridge Road, Bern Township. Local historian and Revolutionary War expert Lynn Otto will speak about the history of the Pennsylvania Long Rifle and the ongoing naming debate of Pennsylvania versus Kentucky Rifle. Otto will also focus on gun making in Colonial America.

Leesport Area Historical Society Museum Open House/Book Signing, 1-4 p.m., 128 Main St. Leesport. Signing by author Benjamin L. Bernhart. Bernhart never lost interest in his childhood fascination for the history and operations of transportation systems. During his senior year, Benjamin wrote his first publication, entitled "The Outer Station, Reading, Pennsylvania." Q&A and a book signing of "Trolley and Streets Signs of Reading.
