Sep. 28—Oct. 2:

Artist Jon Bond's Autumn Art Exhibition, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., 59 Kempton Road, Kempton. The exhibit will feature more than 100 original works including egg tempera, oil, watercolor, and silverpoint drawings. Dozens of images on display feature the scenery, images, and atmospherics that surround Jon's gallery among the rolling hills of northern Berks County. Gift items and items featuring reproductions of Jon's art include zippered carryalls, puzzles, hats, pencil sets, postcards, greeting cards, and more. Leesport Area Historical Society Open House/Kids interactive presentation, 1-4 p.m., 128 Main St., Leesport. Jean Davis speaks about what it was like to be a first grade student in the West Leesport School House in 1958. The program will occur every half hour beginning at 1:15 p.m. until 3:15 . Museum tour included.

Oct. 8-9:

Friends of the Exeter Community Library Book Sale, 2-6 p.m., 4569 Prestwick Drive, Exeter Township. The sale continues Oct. 9 , 9 a.m.-3 p.m. $5 bag of books, noon — 3 p.m.

Oct. 9:

Berks History Center Road Ramble, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., start at Berks History Center, 940 Centre Ave., Reading, and ramble through Muhlenberg, Longswamp and Alsace townships. A self-guided driving tour concludes at the William Penn Fire Tower on Skyline Drive, where there will be a pork barbecue fundraiser (additional charge). Food will also be available at the Longswamp Township Historical Society for purchase. Cost: $45 per car for non-members.
