Berlin player wins big in Maryland Lottery

Among the most recent big winners announced by the Maryland Lottery was one lucky $50,000 winner in Berlin.

The winning VIP Club ticket was sold at Southside Beer, Wine & Deli, 11021 Nicholas Lane #7.

The state's biggest winners were a scratch-off player in Nottingham who enjoyed a $2 million payday and another eight Lottery players claimed prizes of $100,000 or more last week on tickets sold in Annapolis, Baltimore, Camp Springs, Crownsville, Edgewood, Landover, Largo and White Marsh.

In all, 32 players across the state won or claimed prizes of $10,000 or more, and the Lottery paid more than $29.1 million in prizes in the seven days ending Jan. 16.
