Berlin Police Break Up Protest Against Coronavirus Pandemic Restrictions

German police broke up a demonstration against coronavirus restrictions in Berlin on August 29.

Police said the march was broken up because participants failed to comply with the Infection Protection Act.

The protest organizers were calling for an end to protective measures and restrictions put in place to slow the spread of coronavirus. The demonstration went ahead after a German court overturned a police order banning the march.

Counter protesters also attended Saturday’s demonstration, where people were reportedly arrested for refusing to wear face masks.
