Fishing Results

The 2022 Bobby Lane High School Cup Tournament on Dec. 3, on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Mack was divided into both Junior/Youth and High School Divisions.

In the High School Division, Tripp Berlinsky and Jacob Sharpe of Osceola Anglers placed first with 22.05 pounds. Carter Burdette and Thomas Wright of Circle Christian School/Lake Howell High were second with 19.53 pounds. Dylan Quilatan and Tommy Rust of Olympia High School placed third with 18.73 pounds. Sawyer Daniels and Daylon Kesler of McKeel Academy had big bass with a 9.87-pounder.

In the Juniors Division, Gus DeVane and Kayden O’Dell of Tomlin Middle School placed first with 16.18 pounds. Ty Cooper and Landen McLauchlin of McKeel Academy were second with 14.48 pounds. Kip Gruloh and Kian Gruloh of Freedom Middle School placed third with 14.27 pounds. Keegan Bosko and Donald Bosko of McKeel Academy had big bass with a 9.07-pounder.

Andrew Ready and Chris Ready had 18.13 pounds to win first place during the Wednesday Open Bass Series tournament on Dec. 21 on the Winter Haven Chain. Waylon Burton and Landon Brown took second place with 17.10 pounds and also had big bass with a 6.90-pounder. Brandon Smith and Colby Evans were third with 15.11 pounds.

Upcoming Tournaments

The next Wednesday Open Bass Series tournament is on Jan. 4 on the Winter Haven North Chain out of the Lake Haines public ramp. Entry fee is $30 per boat with 100% payback with exemptions. The next Florida Bass Club Survivor Series tournament is on Jan. 7 on the Harris Chain out of the Hickory Point ramp. Anglers must pay a one-time club membership fee of $50. Tourney entry fee is $100 per boat. Optional big bass side pot fee is $10 and optional big bag weight side pot fee is $20. The next Winter Haven Lunker Lovers tournament is on Jan. 8 on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes out of the Lake Shipp Park ramp. The Bass N Boats will host an open tournament on Jan. 21 on Lake Hamilton out of the public ramp. Launch is at safe daylight and weigh-in is at 3 p.m. There is a $60 tournament entry fee. The next Toho First Sunday of the Month Team Trail tournament scheduled for Jan. 1 on Lake Toho out of the city ramp will be postponed to Feb. 1 because of the New Year’s holiday. This tournament is open to the first 50 boats. Entry fee is $60 per team with an optional $100 per boat, winner-take-all side pot. The next Central Florida Slay Nation Club Tournament is on Feb. 25 on Lake Garfield out of the public ramp. The tourney is open to club members only and only small vessels are allowed.
