(Bloomberg) -- Supporters of Bernie Sanders took to Twitter Tuesday slamming Hillary Clinton for saying that nobody liked him.

#ILikeBernie was in the No. 1 spot for trending news after Clinton said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she stands by her remarks made in a Hulu documentary where she said that no one wanted to work with the Vermont senator. The series “Hillary” is set to premier at Sundance.

“He was in Congress for years. He had one senator support him,” Clinton said in the documentary, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”

Some of Sanders’ defenders online included celebrities like Susan Sarandon:

and Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar:

Just last week, Sanders was on the other side of a social media frenzy where defenders of Senator Elizabeth Warren helped promote a hashtag ostensibly attacking her after reports that Sanders had told Warren a woman could not be elected president, which she confimed and he denied.
