Berry Creek store in destroyed by wildfire burning in Butte County

A beloved Berry Creek store is now among the growing number of businesses destroyed by a wildfire burning in Butte County. The Dorghalli family of Chico acquired the Village Market in 2005 and have been providing day-to-day supplies, gas, and food to the mountain town of Berry Creek for years. The store was the only one for miles around. Windy conditions caused the North Complex Fire, which was burning in Plumas County, to flare up on Tuesday morning and swept through Butte County during the overnight hours. The wildfire incinerated countless numbers of structures, including Village Market. Get the full story in the video above.
