Berry woman killed after Friday night crash in Tuscaloosa County

A 30-year-old Berry woman died in a head-on collision late Friday night in Tuscaloosa County, according to state troopers.

Casey M. Jackson was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Captiva around 11:44 p.m. on U.S. Highway 43 when the crash occurred. Jackson, who troopers said was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, a Ford F-150, was identified by troopers as 33-year-old Juan S. Sebastian of Northport. Sebastian was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The crash occurred about two miles north of Northport in Tuscaloosa County.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
