Bertram to run against Light for Mayor

Jan. 24—NORWALK — Jeffrey Bertram, of Norwalk, has taken out petitions to run for mayor of Norwalk against Dave Light.

Light, a Democrat seeking his second four-year term, has already filed his petitions, which are due by Feb. 1 for the May 2 primary and Nov. 7 General Election. Bertram is running as a Republican.

The filing dates are:

—Feb. 1 — Partisan candidates

—May 1 — Independent candidates

—Aug. 9 — Non-partisan candidates

The only other petitions filed were by Deborah Lucal for 1st Ward Norwalk City Council and Eric Weisenburger for Norwalk Municipal Court.

Others with petitions out are Matt Doughty (4th Ward Norwalk City Council), Jordan Duncan (3rd Ward Norwalk City Council) and Tom Dunlap (2nd Ward Norwalk City Council).
