The Best Beauty Instagrams of the Week: Jorja Smith, Candice Swanepoel, and More

Coinciding with Valentine’s Day, scarlet-painted mouths were all over Instagram this week. Standout shots ranged from Jorja Smith’s layer of rouge with lengthy lashes, glistening skin, and a slicked-back do. Candice Swanepoel didn’t shy away from a cherry-stained lip either—pairing hers with a dewy highlight framing the apples of her cheeks and brow arches alike, plus a low pony to tie it all together. Willow Smith got up close and personal with a coral-red pout whilst showing off a bare face; light bouncing off of her gaze.

Audacious lids also stopped scrollers in their tracks. Elsa Hosk struck a pose and displayed a burnt orange shadow with lips to match, adding a cheekbone contour for added warmth. On a sunnier side, makeup expert, Princess Ahkeeba Ali, exhibited a summery yellow lid, shimmery cheeks, and an impeccably glossed lip. Backstage at Anna Sui, Pat McGrath showed off her skills on model Léa Julian: a lilac, monochromatic stare with a 60s, Twiggy-esque liner to frame the eyes… and don’t forget the cropped, lavender strands.

Model Hiandra Martinez was striking at Tory Burch’s Fall 2019 show in a smoky eye and two cornrows thanks to hair guru Guido Palau. Speaking of sleek hair, jewelry designer Sophie Buhai stepped out on a rainy day in LA with honey-toned strands tied into a tight low bun and perfected by a silky black scrunchie. And model Sophia Ahrens, fresh faced and sporty in red boxing hand wraps, reminded us, even after what might have been an exhausting week, to “keep fighting.”
