KitchenAid Top-Panel Dishwasher
The deal:
 $698 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: KitchenAid KDTM354DSS
This 39 percent discount represents the biggest Black Friday dishwasher deal we’ve seen. You’re saving $450 and getting a dishwasher that rates Excellent for washing and drying. KitchenAid dishwashers generally rank above average in CR's ratings, and this one outperforms even the brand's much more expensive models.

LG Front-Panel Dishwasher
The deal:
 $498 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: LG LDF5545ST
With a 29 percent discount, you’re saving about $200 for a dishwasher that earns an Excellent rating for washing and a Very Good rating for drying. The model takes its time with wash cycles, though. The normal wash clocks in at 200 minutes, the longest of any dishwasher in CR's ratings.

Maytag Front-Panel Dishwasher
The deal:
 $478 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Maytag MDB4949SHZ
Though its 155-minute cycle time is on the long side, this budget Maytag is a solid performer. It earns an Excellent score for drying and a Very Good score for washing. It's also one of the few models CR tests in this price range with a self-cleaning filter. You’ll save about $270.

Whirlpool Top-Panel Dishwasher
The deal:
 $448 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Whirlpool WDT730PAHZ
This budget Whirlpool earns a Very Good rating for washing, which is slightly lower than most machines. But it still gets the job done. Its grades for drying and quiet operation are better than average, and it earns top scores for both energy and water efficiency, a relatively rare feat for a machine that's on the less expensive side. You can get it for around $200 less than full price.

Ranges

Frigidaire Slide-In Gas Range
The deal: $848 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Frigidaire FFGH3054US
It’s rare to find a gas slide-in under $1,000, but this Frigidaire can be found for about $450 off its regular MSRP, and for about $150 less than our shoppers paid. It offers a built-in look with front-mounted controls and no back panel, and the performance is solid across the board, especially on the cooktop. It has five burners, including a griddle burner and continuous cast-iron grates. It doesn’t have convection or a warming drawer.

GE Gas Slide-In Range
The deal: $1,198 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: GE JGS760SELSS
This handsome GE is a stellar performer, particularly on top of the range, where it earns a rating of Excellent in our cooktop low test. It’s being offered for $800 off the MSRP, and about $100 less than the lowest price we’ve seen for this model. It has a high-end look, with front-mounted controls and no back panel. It has continuous cast-iron grates, a griddle burner, five burners, and a convection oven.

GE Double-Oven Slide-In Range
The deal: $2,498 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: GE Profile PGS960SELSS
This GE is the closest you can get to a pro look without splurging on a model from a pro-style brand, like Wolf or Viking. At this price, which is about $700 off the MSRP, it’s less than half the cost of many pro-style models, plus it features better performance, two ovens (both with convection), and five burners, including a griddle burner.

LG Double-Oven Gas Range
The deal: $998 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: LG LDG4313ST
As with slide-ins, it’s rare to find a double-oven range for less than $1,000. This LG is a top performer, and it’s available for a whopping $700 off its MSRP. It’s more than $200 less than our shoppers paid. In addition to double ovens, this model has strong top-of-the-range performance, with a rating of Excellent in both our low- and high-heat tests. Both ovens have convection, and it has five burners, including a central griddle burner and a single high-power burner.

Samsung Gas Range at a Great Price
The deal: $598 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Samsung NX58H5600SS
Even at full price, this high-scoring Samsung gas range offers a lot for the money, like a griddle burner, a stainless finish, and convection. The current price offers savings of around $500 off the current MSRP and is about $80 less than what our secret shoppers paid for the range three years ago. We think that makes it a no-brainer. This range has five burners, a convection oven, and a storage drawer beneath the main oven cavity.

Frigidaire Electric 5-Burner Range
The deal: $548 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Frigidaire FFEF3054TS
This inexpensive Frigidaire can be had for about $250 off its regular price—and this is $130 less than the lowest sale price we’ve seen. The range is a strong performer, particularly on top of the stove, and it has two high-powered burners, which is rare on a range at this price. This model has five burners, a cooktop warming element, and a warming drawer, but the oven lacks convection. That means food may take a little longer to bake or roast, but performance doesn’t suffer. This model still earns a rating of Very Good for baking.

GE Electric Slide-In 4-Burner Range
The deal: $748 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: GE JS645SLSS
Slide-in ranges are always a bit pricier than those with a back panel, so if you’ve had your eye on one, we think this model is a steal. It’s 47 percent off the everyday price, and more than $200 less than our secret shoppers paid for the very same range. This GE is a solid performer with front-mounted controls. It has four burners, a convection oven, and a warming drawer.

LG Black Stainless Range
The deal: $748 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: LG LRE3194BD
Ordinarily when you buy a black stainless range at this price, you have to sacrifice some features. That’s not the case here, but that’s because this is really a $1,100 range discounted to the realm of entry-priced models. The oven is the standout feature: At 6.3 cubic feet, it’s one of the largest in its class and don’t worry, it also bakes well and earns an Excellent for broiling. This range has four burners, a convection oven, a digital control pad, and a warming drawer.

Samsung Induction Range
The deal:
 $2,198 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Samsung NE58K9560WS
This super-powerful induction range requires no compromises. The top of the stove has burners that simmer steadily and heat very quickly, and the oven is no slouch at baking or broiling, either. The slide-in design provides a polished look, and you can grab this model now for about $600 below MSRP. This range has four burners, convection, and a warming drawer beneath the main oven cavity.

Whirlpool Double-Oven Electric Range
The deal:
 $998 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Whirlpool WGE745C0FS
We rarely find a double-oven range for less than $1,000—especially one of this caliber. At this price, it’s a full $200 less than what our secret shoppers paid for the same model. This range offers stellar performance and has two ovens, both with convection, and four burners, plus a cooktop warming element.

This vacuum usually lists for $700, but now you can get it for hundreds off. Washing Machines (and Matching Dryers)

Electrolux Front-Loader
The deal:
$748 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Electrolux EFLW427UIW
This washer sold for $1,000 lately, so at $748 it’s a great deal. Cleaning is impressive, and Electrolux front-loaders earn a Very Good rating in predicted reliability, according to CR’s member survey. Wash time is 90 minutes, and claimed capacity is 4.3 cubic feet.
Matching dryer: Electrolux EFME427UIW (electric) and Electrolux EFMG427UIW (gas). Electrolux gas dryers earn a subpar rating in reliability and CR can't recommend them at this time.

LG front-loader
The deal:
 $599 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: LG WM3500CW
High-scoring front-loaders usually cost around $900 or more, so this LG at regular price is already a good deal; a $100 discount on top of that makes it a great deal. It snags an Excellent rating in washing performance. So what's the catch? Wash time is 105 minutes. Claimed capacity is 4.5 cubic feet.

Matching dryer: LG DLE3500W (electric) and LG DLG3501W (gas)

LG Front-Loader
The deal:
 $698 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: LG WM3700HWA
This washer performs similarly to the LG above in every test and has the same capacity of 4.5 cubic feet. But this washer is faster, clocking in at 95 minutes in our tests. LG is the most reliable brand of front-loader, according to our member survey, earning an Excellent rating for predicted reliability.
Matching dryer: LG DLEX3700W (electric) and LG DLGX3701W (gas)

LG Front-Loader
The deal:
 $1,198 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: LG WM9000HVA
The price for this washer has climbed as high as $1,620. One reason that it’s pricey is its claimed capacity of 5.2 cubic feet, among the largest in our ratings. That means you'll be able to wash a king-sized comforter (ditto any washer over 4.5 cubic feet). And it's one of the few front-loaders to rate Excellent in our vibration tests. Cycle time is 105 minutes; the TurboWash option trims time.
Matching dryer: LG DLEX9000V (electric) and LG DLGX9001V (gas)

Maytag Front-Loader
The deal:
$698 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Maytag MHW6630HW
We’ve seen this washer sell for $900 recently. It aces our washing performance tests, and vibration (a problem for some front-loaders) isn’t an issue. Maytag front-loaders garner a Very Good rating for predicted reliability. Cycle time is 95 minutes, and claimed capacity is 4.8 cubic feet.
Matching dryer: Maytag MED6630HW (electric) and Maytag MGD6630HW

Maytag Front-Loader
The deal:
$648 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Maytag MHW5630HW
This is a CR Best Buy when it’s at its usual price of $810. At $648, it’s a great deal. It performs similarly to the Maytag above in most tests, also earning a Very Good rating in our noise tests. You’ll hear it working, but it shouldn’t disturb you with annoying, sustained noise.
Matching dryer: Maytag MED5630HW (electric) and Maytag MGD5630HW(gas)

LG HE Top-Loader
The deal:
$580 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: LG WT7100CW
At its usual price of $720, this washer is a CR Best Buy, combining impressive performance and an appealing price. At $580, it’s even more appealing. This HE top-loader is one of the few tested to earn an Excellent rating in washing performance. Wash time is 75 minutes, and claimed capacity is 4.5 cubic feet.
Matching dryer: LG DLE7100W (electric) and LG DLG7101W (gas)

Maytag Agitator Top-Loader
The deal:
$648 at Home Depot
CR’s test results: Maytag MVWB865GW
This Maytag has been selling for $900 lately, so take a look at it now. It earns a Good rating in washing performance, meaning it can handle most loads well but has a tougher time with heavy stains. Unlike most in this category, the Maytag offers impressive water and energy efficiency, extracting much of the water from laundry so that drying time is faster. The 5.2-cubic-foot capacity and the 70-minute wash time are more typical of an HE top-loader.
Matching dryer: Maytag MEDB835DW (electric) and Maytag MGDB835DW (gas)
