Cyber Monday Chromebook Deals
Asus Chromebook C434 2-in-1 14-inch Laptop (4GB RAM, 64GB Storage)—$469 at Amazon (Save $100.99): This is our favorite Chromebook at an awesome price. It's fast, has great battery life, and just enough storage for everyday use.
Acer Chromebook 15 15.6-inch—$199.99 at Target (Save $100): Acer makes some of our favorite Chromebooks, and this affordable entry-level model is a good middle-of-the-road option at a great price.
Lenovo 2-in-1 11.6" Touch-Screen Chromebook—$179 at Best Buy (Save $100): Chromebooks can use Android apps now, and this 2-in-1 with a touchscreen takes full advantage of that. It won't be the fastest, but if you need a compact laptop for basic e-mail and web browsing this will handle that.
Samsung Chromebook 3 11.6-inch laptop (4GB RAM, 64GB Storage)—$176.99 at Amazon (Save $103): This 11.6-inch Samsung Chromebook is tiny and not super fast, but for less than $200 it has excellent battery life and a 4.3-star user rating with over 80 reviews.
One brief note on Chromebooks: if you are unfamiliar, these are laptops that run Google's own Chrome OS, not a full-blown operating system like Windows or Apple's macOS. That means it can do pretty much everything you can do in your browser, like editing documents through Microsoft 365 or Google Docs, watching video on Netflix, or handling your e-mail, web browsing, or anything else. Most of them can also run Android apps now, though they're not always optimized for the larger laptop screen, keyboard, and mouse.
That said, if you are replacing an older Windows laptop and have some programs you need to use, you'll want to make sure there's a Chrome- or browser-based version that you can access. Otherwise, an affordable Windows laptop may make more sense.
