The Best Dresses and Gowns from the 78th Annual Golden Globes

In spite of massive global disruption in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 78th Annual Golden Globes are indeed happening this year. Hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the awards show (oft lauded as the most carefree of the season), recognizes achievements in television and film over the past year (2020 and into early 2021), and traditionally occurs in early January. This year, the season is kicking off a little late, and will be adjusted in accordance to ongoing health and safety measures.

On Sunday, February 28, the annual Golden Globe Awards hosted by the HFPA, will be celebrating the very best of the shows and movies that have kept us entertained over the last year. And if the 2020 Emmy Awards were any indication, this doesn't mean that the glamorous and star-studded affair will be any less so. We can still count on our red carpet regulars such as Tracee Ellis Ross, and fashion-plates such as Carey Mulligan to serve killer looks, from oversize sleeves, bright colorblock, and truly staggeringly gorgeous jewels.
