Is it full-on Spring brunch season yet? Between the sunny weather and a new batch of brunch events, it certainly feels like it.

I recently wrote about two unique Sunday brunches, a burlesque brunch at the new Ravish Off Ocean restaurant in Lantana and a jazz brunch at the new Double Roads Tavern in Jupiter.

And there’s another new Sunday brunch to put on your radar: the Bottomless Brunch at Galley restaurant, the airy indoor/outdoor spot located at the Hilton West Palm Beach.

Bottomless refers to the unlimited, shareable dishes you can order for $50 per person. And, bonus, they’re brought to your table, family-style. For a $20 upcharge, you get unlimited brunch drinks to match.

Burrata toast and Aperol spritz cocktails are served at Galley during the restaurant's Sunday "Bottomless Brunch".

The menu, now in the hands of Galley’s new chef de cuisine Nicholas Salanitro (formerly of Elisabetta’s), features breakfast pizza, short rib empanadas, chicken and waffles, burrata toast, Peruvian-inspired crispy sushi rice, churros and other sweets. For $14 extra, you can order Galley’s South American-style parrillada (grilled meats and seafood) from the restaurant’s elaborate wood-fire grill.

The brunch may be unlimited in food and drink, but not in table time. There’s a two-hour limit at brunch tables. More fine print: A 20% tip is tacked onto all dining checks, and there’s a maximum of four split checks per table.

Galley’s Bottomless Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Galley in the Hilton West Palm Beach, 600 Okeechobee Blvd., 561-231-6100.

Happy National Cold Cuts Day!

Cheese and charcuterie boards are popular starters at Coolinary restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens.
Cheese and charcuterie boards are popular starters at Coolinary restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens.

Tempting cold-cuts and party boards were beloved in this country long before “charcuterie” became part of the American foodie lexicon. Today (March 3) we celebrate all of it — the cold cuts, the charcuterie, the cheese boards, the extravagant salami rivers and demure colby-and-crackers plates.

Some local restaurants with stellar cold cuts:

Coolinary – Chef Tim Lipman’s soulful and always fresh Palm Beach Gardens restaurant serves some of the most beautifully arranged and delicious meat and cheese boards in the county.

Café BouludDaniel Boulud’s 20-year-old Palm Beach restaurant has an excellent charcuterie program. Try the planche de charcuterie, an array of cured meats and pâtés, at lunch ($33).

Cold cuts get a fresh look on Elisabetta's Roman Lunch plate, which combines prosciutto, cheeses, greens, tomatoes and wedges of pizza bianco. The restaurant has locations in West Palm Beach and Delray Beach.

Big Time Restaurants – This locally based restaurant group shines in its cured meats and premium cheese offerings. Try them at City Cellar and Elisabetta’s restaurants in West Palm Beach and Louie Bossi’s restaurant in Boca Raton.

Pistache – Clematis Street’s favorite bistro has an extensive selection of artisanal cheeses, sold in customizable plates of three, five and seven cheeses.
