Ghosts, ghouls, and goblins are popping up throughout Knoxville. And now that you've chosen your East Tennessee-themed costume and picked which Halloween nightlife events to attend, you may be wondering which neighborhood is the spookiest? What street gives out the best candy?

Knox News took to social media to crowdsource Halloween hotspots around town. Whether you’re looking for a trick or a treated site or a place to take a fun drive, here are a few areas to visit this Halloween.

Broadacres in Powell

The Broadacres subdivision in Powell is a hotspot for tricks and treats. Many homes on Emory Road and the surrounding blocks go all out with decorations, bags full of treats, and a few scares. Hundreds of kids and families roam the neighborhood every Oct. 31.

Gibbs Drive in Fountain City

Gibbs Drive in Fountain City has been described as the Disneyland of decoration. The historic street is lined with spooky houses, cobwebs, gravestones, and other fun decorations during October. And don't forget the sweet treats handed out on Halloween.

North Hills in North Knox

Drive between Buffat Mill Road and Cecil Avenue in North Hills and you’ll find cobwebs, giant spiders, witches, and more. It's worth a look.

Painter Farms in Karns

Painter Farms in Karns is a go-to neighborhood during the Halloween season. Neighbors go all out to make the streets come alive at night. And for All Hallows’ Eve, there’s music, fire pits, tons of trick-or-treaters, and lots of fun.

Sterchi Hills in North Knoxville

The Sterchi Hills neighborhood has never disappointed visitors looking to get into the Halloween spirit. The area has spooky decorations and costumes to cause a good fright but also makes for a fun night.

Timberlake in South Knoxville

Timberlake in South Knoxville sees hundreds of kids trick-or-treating every Halloween. The area is brimming with fun Halloween and fall décor. And keep an eye out, Michael Myers and Jason have been known to roam this neighborhood throughout the years.

Knoxvillians also mentioned areas such as Foxford Drive in Farragut, Fairmont Boulevard in Fountain City, and Nicely Trail in Powell for their spooky decorations. Below are other suggestions for trick-or-treating in Knoxville.

Stonehaven neighborhood in Carter community: Killbridge Drive off Brakebill Road. Also includes Heumsdale Lane, Hawick Lane, and Carowinds Lane.

North Knoxville

Sterchi Hills neighborhood: Off Rifle Range Road. Also includes Dry Gap Pike, Paxton Drive, Cardindale Drive, Jim Sterchi Road, and Dante Road.

Summer Rose neighborhood: Summer Rose Boulevard off Murphy Road. Also includes Tropicana Drive, Ivy Rose Drive, and Magic Lantern Drive.

South Knoxville

Island Home neighborhood: Off Island Home Avenue. Also includes Island Home Boulevard, Maplewood Drive, Hillsboro Heights, Fisher Place, and Spence Place.

West Knoxville

Benington Neighborhood: Colchester Ridge Road off Ebenezer Road. Also includes Wenlock Road, and Halifax Road.

Gettysvue Neighborhood: Off Gettysvue Drive. Also includes Linksvue Drive and Shadow Brook Drive.Sequoyah Hills Neighborhood: Cherokee Boulevard off Kingston Pike. Also includes Scenic Drive. Head to Nokimis Circle for the neighborhood epicenter.
