1. For the one you want to spoil: Elemis Pro-Collagen & Lime Ginger Face & Body Set
Herring emphasized thoughtfulness when it came to shopping for gifts. "I love the idea of gifting luxury skincare, because it’s a gift a lot of us will not splurge on and do for ourselves," Herring said.
"Elemis has a really lovely collection that includes face and body products packaged in a luxe velvet bag! It includes some of my favorites: the Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm, Marine Cream and Marine Oil." The set is currently on sale, so grab yours before it's gone!
2. For the skincare newbies: Beard oil and travel kits
Continuing on the topic of skincare, Herring said that skincare and haircare are great gifts for men, in particular. "A couple years ago I got my husband beard oil and beard wash because I knew it was something he wouldn’t buy for himself," she said. "I wasn’t sure if he would like it, but it turned out to be a big hit!"
Her top picks include a moisturizing Chi beard oil, and a travel Elemis skincare kit they can stock up with.
3. For the stockings: Metal Leaf Shadow Pots
Makeup is just compact enough to make a wonderful stocking stuffer. Herring recommends sticking with something small, and fun, like a new mascara or sparkly eyeshadow. "Metal Leaf Shadow Pots from Deck of Scarlet will be sure to wow whoever pulls them out of their stocking!" Herring said. "The creamy texture gives a foiled leaf effect that is simply stunning! They can be worn alone, over eye shadow and even on cheeks."
4. For the work gift exchange: Floral Street Eau de Parfum and Fragranced Candle Discovery Set
If you're shopping on a budget, Herring recommended discovery sets, so your giftee can choose their favorite from a selection. "Great gifts definitely don’t have to break the bank!" she said. "I absolutely love this collection from Floral Street which includes four candles and five sample fragrances! Although the candles are petite, they fill a room with beautiful fragrance when I light them."
5. For the one who loves vegan makeup: Eu'Genia shea butter and Lawless Lip Plumping Gloss
According to Herring, brands like Eu'Genia and Lawless are clean beauty staples. "Eu’Genia Shea is one of my go-to moisturizers and I love that it’s clean beauty!" she said. "The formula is rich and keeps my skin looking great!" She specifically called out the Lavender scent in the shea butter set as her favorite.
"I also love the Lawless Beauty Lip Plumping glosses," Herring added. "My lips are pretty full on their own, but I love how they give a mirror-like shine and a super smooth finish on their own, or over lipstick!" The glosses are currently available in seven different shades.
6. For aspiring beauty experts: Mac Grand Spectacle Eye Shadow Palette
We asked Herring what beauty gifts she would most like to receive over the holidays. "There’s nothing that makes me happier than beautiful packaging and Mac really brings it!" Herring said. "I would love to have the stunning Grand Spectacle Eye Shadow Palette, which includes gorgeous pops of color! Hopefully I made it on the nice list!"
The Mac Grand Spectacle palette comes with 25 individual colors, so you can experiment with new looks.
