The first full The Best Man: Final Chapters trailer teases an announcement no one would ever expect.

As the official synopsis reads:

Based upon the eponymous Universal film franchise written and directed by Malcolm D. Lee (four episodes), the series will catch up with the beloved cast as relationships evolve and past grievances resurface in the unpredictable stages of midlife crisis meets midlife renaissance.

Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, and Harold Perrineau are reprising their roles for the series.

Meanwhile, Nicole Ari Parker, Brandon Victor Dixon, Ron Canada, Michael Genet, Yvonna Pearson, Aaron Serotsky, Terrence Terrell, Tobias Truvillion and Eric Scott Ways will serve as recurring cast members.

The limited series will be available to stream on Peacock on December 22 with all 8 episodes dropping at once.

The Best Man: Final Chapters is written and executive produced by Malcolm D. Lee and Dayna Lynne North. NBCUniversal’s Peacock is a natural fit for the film series, which is from Universal Pictures.
