You know the impeachment hearings are off to a crazy start when the participants are compared to fictional characters who could appear in the movie The Matrix. At least, that's comedian Stephen Colbert's take on the proceedings.
Congress officially opened hearings last week into whether President Donald Trump should be impeached, and the affair was as brutally partisan as you'd expect. But fear not! Our intrepid Late Night comics are here to help you wrap your head around what's happening in Congress and hopefully enjoy a few laughs in the process.
Seth Meyers starts us off with a barb at Trump's longtime pal Roger Stone. Colin Jost of Saturday Night Live fame points out that Trump might not want to go around accusing others of messing things up, and Stephen Colbert compares one of the hearing witnesses to a fictional character from a Hollywood classic.
