Summer is here and it’s the perfect time to start enjoying dinner al fresco again.

It’s patio season on the Mississippi Coast, and there are dozens of restaurants in the Gulfport-Biloxi metro with outdoor dining options for guests who want to enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner outside. Many of them have views of the water or downtown areas. Some are cult classics and others are hidden gems.

The Sun Herald is making a city-by-city outdoor dining guide, and you get to pick the top restaurants that make the list.

We started with Bay St. Louis and Gulfport, and now we’re looking at Biloxi. The city known for tourism and casinos has lots of outdoor dining options available for every meal and is a popular destination for locals, business people and tourists alike.

We identified 27 of the top-rated restaurants with patios or outdoor dining in Biloxi. And you’ll help us choose the Top 10. Then, we’ll do a finals round and narrow down to the Final 5.

Toasted Yolk, a new breakfast and brunch restaurant in downtown Biloxi, opens June 26. It won’t be in the bracket since it’s not yet open, but the Sun Herald will try Toasted Yolk in July and let you know how it is.

Here’s how it’ll work:

  • Voting opens on Friday, June 23.

  • Vote for your favorite restaurants often until the poll closes at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27.

  • The five restaurants with the most votes will be included in Sun Herald’s local outdoor dining guide.

This poll is not scientific, and you can vote as many times as you’d like and for as many businesses as you’d like by refreshing the page. The Sun Herald will also publish polls for other Coast cities throughout the months of June and July, including Pass Christian, Long Beach, Ocean Springs and the Pascagoula-Gautier-Moss Point metro.
