‘Best piggyback ride ever’: Georgia officer’s good deed caught on camera

A Savannah police officer is generating quite the feel-good Friday buzz after he was unknowingly caught on camera doing a good deed.

On Friday morning around 9 a.m., police in Savannah received a report about a lost child along Price Street in the city.

According to officials, the child was just about able to describe where he came from and his caregiver’s name.

While officials searched for the boy’s caregiver, Officer Miles Lewis put the child on his back for a fun ride around the neighborhoods.

The department thanked Lewis for keeping the boy happy and smiling while officials looked for his caregiver.

“We feel sure he will tell all his friends and family about the nice police man he met who gave him the best piggyback ride ever,” the department said.

The child’s caregiver was found and reunited with the child.
