Now that the Sam’s Club three-day pre-Black Friday sale is over, the company has released its Black Friday ad, which includes a number of TV deals.
As in past years, the club's focus seems to be mainly on larger sets. Compared to some other retailers, Sam's makes it easier to see how good the deals really are by supplying the model numbers of every set in its ad.
Sam's Club stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day, which is November 28th this year. But you can shop the Black Friday deals online that day by going to a special area of the Sam's Club website.
In-store shopping kicks off at 7 a.m. on Black Friday itself, the day after Thanksgiving. According to the Sam's Club ad, Black Friday prices are valid through December 1st while supplies last—quantities of some models will be limited. Almost everything that's available online comes with free shipping.
So how good are the Sam's Club offerings? Well, we've been tracking all the best Black Friday TV deals we've seen so far, and we put the Sam's Club TV deals into perspective below. Several TVs on the list can be found in our current TV ratings, which are available to CR members.
Remember, to shop Sam's Club sale you need to be a Sam's Club member; a basic membership costs $45 a year.

Sam's Club TV Deals
55-Inch LG 4K Smart TV
The deal: $329 at Sam’s Club
CR's test results: LG 55UM6910PUC
This entry-level 4K set from LG did surprisingly well in our tests. You won't save a ton of money, though, since it sells for about $350 normally.
55-Inch Samsung Curved 4K smart TV
The deal: $459 at Sam’s Club
CR's test results: Samsung UN55RU730DFXZA
This set, essentially the warehouse club version of the Samsung UN55RU7300, regularly sells for about $530. It's one of the few curved-screen TVs still around, and it did well in our tests for everything except HDR performance.
58-Inch Vizio 4K Smart TV
The deal: $299 at Sam’s Club
We didn't test this set, the Vizio V585-G1, though we did test the 55-inch version, the Vizio V555-G1. That set did well overall in our ratings, though its HDR wasn't great. This is an online-only sale, and the set is going for about $170 less than its normal selling price.
65-Inch LG 4K Smart TV
The deal: $479 at Sam’s Club
CR's Take: LG 65UM6900PUA
This set, which we're seeing at other Black Friday sales, is at this price now at Sam's. Target will have this set at the same price during its Black Friday sale. The performance is so-so, about what you might expect for a 65-inch set priced this low.
65-Inch Samsung Curved 4K Smart TV
The deal: $599 at Sam’s Club
We didn't test this set, the Samsung UN65RU730DFXZA, which is essentially the warehouse club version of the Samsung UN55RU7300, which we did test. (It did well for everything except HDR performance.) It's one of the few curved-screen TVs still around, and it usually sells for about $730.
65-Inch Vizio 4K Smart TV
The deal: $879 at Sam's Club
CR's test results: Vizio P659-G1
This set, one of the better-performing Vizios in our tests, is an online-only special. But it's not that great a deal, since you can already buy the TV for about $900 at Best Buy and other retailers.
75-Inch Philips 4K Android Smart TV
The deal: $599 at Sam’s Club
Although we can't comment on its performance—we didn't test this set, the Philips 75PFL5704/F7—it appears to be one of the better deals, since it's $849 right now at Sam's and $1,300 at Best Buy.
82-Inch LG 4K smart TV
The deal: $1,599, and you get a $150 gift card, at Sam's Club
This set, the LG 82UM8070PUA, is selling for about $1,800 at several retailers right now. The Sam's gift card makes the deal even a bit sweeter.
Sam's Club Computer Deals
Sam's Club has three computer deals in its ad; this is the best one:
HP Pavilion x360 15.6
The deal: $650 at Sam’s Club
CR’s test results: HP Pavilion 15-CS1063CL
This is a 15.6-inch 2-in-1 convertible that’s usually around $850, making this a good deal. It’s a very good laptop, with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of memory, and 512GB of solid state storage. Being a 2-in-1, you can bend the keyboard behind the display to use the laptop somewhat like a tablet. We tested a similar HP Pavilion (though ours wasn’t a 2-in-1), and our testers gave it most strong marks.
