There are still a few more weeks of summer left, and what screams summer more than seafood?

Ice-cold oysters, lobster rolls, and clam bakes can make you feel like summer no matter where you are.

The website 24/7 Tempo recently reviewed data from Guide Michelin, Eat This Not That, Food Network, Gayot, Eater, and Time Out, as well as numerous local and regional sites to create its “Best Seafood Restaurants in Every State” list.

“The best seafood restaurants range from casual eateries to dress-code establishments,” 24/7 Tempo wrote. “A number of them have perfected their fry game and offer the best fish and chips or popcorn shrimp around. Some are new American restaurants that combine world flavors with fresh, sustainably sourced fish, while others might bring Chinese, Mexican, or Portuguese flavors to the table.”

The best seafood restaurant in every New England state was named as follows:

  • Connecticut: The Restaurant at Rowayton Seafood in Rowayton (Norwalk)

  • Maine: Eventide Oyster Co. in Portland

  • Massachusetts: Neptune Oyster in Boston

  • New Hampshire: Jumpin’ Jay’s Fish Café in Portsmouth

  • Rhode Island: Matunuck Oyster Bar in South Kingstown

  • Vermont: Anchor Seafood Restaurant in Wilmington
