Snow has begun to fall in the mountains of Europe and, with every flake, the optimism for the upcoming ski season continues to grow.
Ski lifts are preparing to creep into motion, some for the first time in nearly two winters, resorts are eagerly awaiting the return of British skiers and snowboarders and operators are reporting record-high demand.
While thousands of Britons already have their spot on the slopes secured, whether through a deferred trip from last winter or a new booking, many are still waiting longer than ever before to seal the deal. In September, 49 per cent of people surveyed by the Mountain Trade Network said they would book their ski holiday three months, or less, in advance of departure this season – a far higher proportion than before the pandemic.
Holidaymakers have every reason to be reluctant to book too – travel rules may have eased recently, but testing requirements remain and many will have been left scared by the turbulent open-then-closed fiasco of last winter.
If you’re yet to book your ski holiday, the below packages and deals will whet your appetite further for what is set to be a mighty return to the slopes – be sure to read our checklist guide before booking, to get up to speed with the latest advice on insurance, cancellation policies and refunds.
