These are the best South Beach food festival events with tickets still available

You might think that because you didn’t buy tickets sooner, your chance to attend this year’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival has passed.

We are here to inform you that it has not.

The 2024 festival, which runs Feb. 22-25 and features more than 100 events across Miami-Dade and Broward, has sold out tickets to some of its biggest events, including Wine Spectator’s Best of the Best event at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach on Feb. 23 and the tribute dinner to Italian Chef Massimo Bottura at the Loews Miami Beach on Feb. 24.

But there are still tickets available for a slew of events and tastings with top chefs. Here are a few of the most intriguing (check sobewff.org for a full list)

Thursday, Feb. 22

Burger Bash: Rachael Ray, who hosted the first Burger Bash back in 2007, returns to host this year’s event, at which you can vote on the best burger in town while a panel of celebrity judges (including Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and model Kate Upton) chooses their favorite.

Dinner hosted by Chef Brad Kilgore and Markus Glocker: The creator of one of Wynwood’s first and best restaurants, Alter, joins forces with the Austrian-born Glocker, famous for French cuisine at his New York restaurant Koloman, to present an eclectic menu at Kilgore’s latest Wynwood hot spot.

Friday, Feb. 23

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Live: Join host Guy Fieri on a trip through some of America’s finest roadside diners, vintage drive-ins and hidden gems that have been featured on the Food Network series.

Dinner hosted by Mashama Bailey, Tiffany Derry, Vallery Lomas and Tristen Epps: James Beard Award winner Bailey, “The Great American Baking Show” winner Lomas and Derry, founder of Tiffany Derry Concepts, join Epps, a James Beard Award semifinalist, at his home restaurant for a collaborative dinner.

Art of the Tiki Cocktail Showdown: Watch some of the best bartenders and mixologists in the business create the wildest tiki concoctions and sample the bites that go with them.

Saturday, Feb. 24

Dinner with Zak Stern, Michael Beltran and Jose Mendin: Zak the Baker creator joins forces with Beltran (Ariete, Laurel, The Gibson Room) and Mendin (Pubbelly Global founder) for a sit-down farm-to table dinner at Regener8 Farm.

Hallandale Beach Food & Groove: Broward County residents can join in the fun closer to home at this event that includes bites from the city’s best restaurants and a drone show with 300 drones.

Tacos & Tequila: Hosted by chef and TV personality Aaron Sanchez, this walk-around event features a wide variety of tacos and margaritas (though there will be other adult beverages, too).

Chicken Coupe: Join Kardea Brown of TV’s “Miss Delicious Brown” at this walk-around event that celebrates two of the best things on the planet: Fried chicken and champagne.

Sunday, Feb. 25

Goya Foods Grand Tasting: The Saturday event is sold out, but you can still hang under the big tent to enjoy samples of food, wine and more on Sunday.

Family Ice Cream Social: This family-friendly event, hosted by the Zakarian family, includes sweet and savory treats and offers plenty of space for the kids to run around.

Overtown EatUp!: Hosted by Chef Marcus Samuelsson of Red Rooster fame, this event pays tribute to the unique history, culture and food of Overtown.

The Block Party: Hosts Andrew Zimmern and Melba Winston lead this casual bash with food from top chefs, drinks from Bacardi and a performance by Rev Run, formerly of the iconic Run DMC.
