Find the best spots near Utica for your kids to swing, slide and climb

Looking to let your kids work off some energy by climbing, flying and sliding?

The Mohawk Valley area is full of playgrounds with climbing structures, sliding boards, swings, zip lines, seesaws, old-fashioned merry-go-rounds and splash pads.

The playground in T.R. Proctor Park in Utica will be getting a new, fully accessible playground to replace the existing playground later this year, according to city officials.

The upgrades will also bring a skate park, dog park and splash pad to the space.
