If you're not going to Super Bowl LIV in Miami this year, the next best thing is watching the 49ers take on the Chiefs on a big-screen 4K TV.

And this year, the at-home action will be even better because Fox Sports is making this the first Super Bowl that will be shown in 4K with HDR on some apps and TV services.

That may be a good reason to get your first 4K HDR (high dynamic range) set or splurge on an even bigger TV to take in all the action. The good news is that Super Bowl TV deals are typically plentiful in the weeks just before the Big Game.

“While we just witnessed a very active TV-buying season during the holidays, prices on some 4K models ahead of the big game are trending with similar savings, maybe even better," says Regina Conway, a consumer expert at the bargain-hunting website Slickdeals.net.

“In years past the better Super Bowl TV deals focused on 40- to 60-inch models," she adds, "but this year we’re seeing much lower pricing options for the larger 65- to 80-inch 4K TV models."

The Super Bowl TV deals below are broken out by screen size. We've also included links to our evaluations for TVs we've tested. Currently, there are more than 250 tested models in our TV ratings.

We'll be updating this article right up until Super Bowl weekend, so keep checking back for the best deals.

Smaller TVs

43-Inch Samsung 4K Smart TV
The deal:
 $250 at Target
CR's test results: Samsung UN43NU6900
This is an entry-level Samsung TV from 2018. It usually sells for about $280, so you're getting a decent savings, though it was about $20 less expensive during Black Friday.

43-Inch LG 4K Smart TV
The deal: $230 at Dell (deal includes a $25 eGift card) and Best Buy
We didn't test this set, the LG 43UM6910PUA, but did evaluate its 49-inch sibling, which performed well for HD, though not as well for 4K and HDR. It's the same price at both retailers, but Dell's $25 eGift card makes the deal there sweeter.

50-Inch Insignia 4K Fire TV Smart TV (Plus Amazon Echo Dot)
The deal: $250 at Amazon
This set, the Insignia NS-50DF710NA1, belongs to Walmart's house brand, but it's actually $50 cheaper at Amazon right now. It's not a great performer, but you might consider it as a second set, or if the smart TV platform matters more than top picture quality. Plus, you get an Echo Dot.

50-Inch Toshiba 4K Amazon Fire TV Smart TV (Plus Amazon Echo Dot)
The deal: $280 at Amazon and Best Buy
CR’s test results: Toshiba 50LF711U20
This set did okay in our ratings, though better with HD than 4K in terms of picture quality. But it's definitely worth the minimal splurge compared with the Insignia if you want a Fire TV smart TV. The free Amazon Echo Dot could make this appealing to many shoppers.

50-Inch Samsung 4K Smart TV
The deal: $295 to $299 at Best BuyTarget, and Walmart
CR's test results: Samsung UN50NU6900
This is an entry-level model from 2018. It's the same price it was during Black Friday. The picture quality is admirable for a set priced this low for both HD and 4K content. But it's not a great choice for those longing for a real HDR experience.

55- to 65-Inch TVs

55-Inch Vizio 4K Smart TV
The deal: $358 at Walmart
This model, the Vizio M556-G4, isn’t widely available outside of Walmart, but it’s now $20 cheaper than on Black Friday. It’s one of Vizio’s midline M series sets, which have typically done well in CR’s tests for HD and 4K but not as well for high dynamic range (HDR).

55-Inch TCL 4K Roku Smart TV
The deal: $500 at Amazon and Walmart
CR's test results: TCL 55R617
This set, in the top-performing 6 series, delivers a lot of bang for the buck, with top-notch picture quality across the board, including HDR—a surprise at this price. It's a set worth owning, at a very decent price.

55-Inch LG 4K OLED Smart TV
The deal: $1,300 at Best Buy and Walmart
CR's test results: LG OLED55B9PUA
LG has cut the price across the board on its 55- and 65-inch B9-series OLED TVs, among the top performers in our TV ratings. These are the least expensive OLED TVs in their size range, with top-of-the-line performance in all key picture attributes.

58-Inch Samsung 4K Smart TV
The deal: $498 at Walmart
CR's test results: Samsung UN58RU7100
This set, in a screen size we see only from a few manufacturers, delivers satisfying picture quality, though not the best HDR. It's a bit cheaper at Walmart right now, though that could change because it was a popular discounted set during Black Friday.

65-Inch Hisense 4K Smart TV
The deal: $350 at Best Buy
This set, the Hisense 65H6570F, a model in its Android TV lineup, was a Best Buy Black Friday doorbuster at $300. We didn't test this particular model, but other Hisense 6-series TVs have typically done well in our tests, and this one is well-priced for a 65-inch set.

65-Inch TCL 4K Roku Smart TV
The deal:
$450 at AmazonBest Buy, and Walmart
This set, the TCL 65S425, is an entry-level 4K model that we saw at Best Buy for about $25 less during Black Friday. While it's not a high-performing model, it's selling for a nice price and benefits from Roku's access to lots of streaming services.

65-Inch Samsung 4K Smart TV
The deal:
$480 at BJ’s and Costco
CR's test results: Samsung UN65NU6950
This set did well in our ratings. Both warehouse clubs offer a three-year warranty and throw in a free HDMI cable. The similar UN65NU6900 set is available for the same price at several consumer electronics retailers.

65-Inch Hisense 4K Roku Smart TV
The deal: $560 at Target
CR’s test results: Hisense 65R6D
This set, which is out of stock at most other retailers, did well in our ratings, though not for HDR. It's a model in Hisense's Roku TV lineup; other models use the Android smart TV system.

65-Inch Vizio 4K Smart TV
The deal: $650 at Best Buy and Costco
CR's test results: Vizio M658-G1
This TV, in Vizio's midline M series of 4K TVs, is about $100 less than it was just a week or so ago. The TV did well in our tests, with decent if not great HDR performance.

65-Inch TCL 4K Roku Smart TV
The deal: $700 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart
CR’s test results: TCL 65R625
While we’re seeing a lot of price cutting on TCL’s S425 sets, the reality is that they aren’t high-performing TVs. That’s not the case with this TCL 6-Series set, which delivers top-notch HD and 4K picture quality, plus a compelling HDR experience—something few of the sets in this list can manage. The TV was about a $100 cheaper during some Black Friday sales, and it's pretty much this price everywhere. The set delivers a lot for the money.

65-Inch Samsung 4K QLED Smart TV
The deal: $900 at Amazon and Best Buy
CR's test results: Samsung QN65Q60RAFXZA
This is the entry-level model in Samsung's QLED 4K TV series for 2019, which did well for picture quality and sound, but not quite as good for HDR. Samsung has cut the price of several of its QLED TVs, so it may be at this price at several other retailers.

65-Inch Vizio Quantum 4K Smart TV
The deal:
$1,000 at Amazon
CR's test resultsVizio PQ65-F1
This is among Vizio's better-performing sets; it does very well in all areas of picture quality, including HDR. It's getting harder to find at other retailers, and it cost as much as $500 more last fall. Note that this is an "Amazon Renewed" set, meaning it's a recertified TV.

65-Inch Vizio Quantum X 4K Smart TV
The deal:
$1,070 at Costco
CR's test results: Vizio PX65-G1
This Vizio, in the company's top-tier P-series Quantum X sets for 2019, is a top performer in all regards, including HDR performance. Vizio 4K TVs support HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG HDR formats.

65-Inch Samsung 4K QLED Smart TV
The deal: $1,200 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart
CR's test results: Samsung QN65Q70R
The truth is, we're not seeing big differences in price among the various retailers on most Samsung TVs. That's true for this high-scoring Samsung model, with top-notch picture quality and better-than-average HDR performance. It's now selling at its Black Friday price. If you search for this TV, note that some retailers call it the Samsung QN65Q70RAFXZA.

65-Inch LG OLED Smart TV
The deal:
$1,790 at Abe's of Maine
CR's Test results: LG OLED65C9PUA
This is one of the best TVs we tested in 2019, and Abe's has the best price we've seen so far. The TV delivers top-notch picture quality and a highly compelling HDR experience. It also has great sound. This set is selling for about $2,100 at most retailers right now.

65-Inch LG 4K OLED Smart TV
The deal: $1,800 at Best Buy and Walmart
CR's test resultsLG OLED65B9PUA
LG has cut the price across the board on its 55- and 65-inch B9-series OLED TVs, among the top performers in our TV ratings. These are the least expensive OLED TVs in their size range, with top-of-the-line performance in all key picture attributes.

70-Inch and Larger TVs

70-Inch JVC 4K Roku TV
The deal: $450 at Walmart
This is the JVC LT-70MAW795, a set we haven’t tested. (In our experience, though, most JVC sets haven't been top performers.) It's about $50 less now than when we saw it at Walmart during that retailer's Black Friday sale. We don’t see this model elsewhere, and it’s a pretty low price for a TV this size, but we can’t tell you how it will perform.

70-Inch RCA 4K TV
The deal: $450 at Walmart
This is another low-priced 4K set, the RCA RTU7074, which we only see at Walmart. Again, this is a low-priced set from a TV brand that's typically in the lower ranks of our TV ratings, though we haven't tested this particular model. Note that it's one of the few larger TVs we've seen that isn't also a smart TV.

70-Inch Element 4K Roku Smart TV
The deal: $500 at Walmart
We only see this set, the Element E4SW7019RKU, at Walmart right now. It has a very low price for a 4K TV this size, and though we didn't test this set, Element TVs have typically been in the lower ranks of our TV ratings. Like the RCA, it might be a choice for those who put screen size ahead of picture quality.

75-Inch TCL 4K Roku Smart TV
The deal: $700 at Best Buy
CR's test results: TCL 75S425
This TV, in TCL's entry-level 4K series for 2019, is about $100 cheaper right now at Best Buy than at Target or Walmart. It excels at HD picture quality but is below par for 4K and HDR.

75-Inch Vizio 4K Smart TV
The deal: $798 at Walmart
This set is the Vizio V755-G4, one of its entry-level 4K sets for 2019. Right now, we only see this model at Walmart. We didn't test this model, but many V-series sets have done well for HD and 4K picture quality but not HDR.

75-Inch LG 4K LED Smart TV
The deal: $800 at Best Buy and Walmart
CR's test results: LG 75UM6970PUB
This set was even cheaper by $50 to $70 during Black Friday, but it's still a nice price for a set this size from a major brand. The TV did well in our ratings and even had decent, if not exceptional, HDR performance.

75-Inch LG 4K Smart TV
The deal: $999 at Dell, plus a $150 eGift Card
Like a lot of the TV deals we see at Dell, this set, the LG 75UM7570PUD, is about the same price elsewhere. But the Dell eGift card, if you can use it, makes it worth buying here. Otherwise, P.C. Richard & Son has it for $900. We didn't test this set, but LG models typically do fairly well in our ratings.

75-Inch TCL 4K Roku Smart TV
The deal: $1,400 at Amazon and Walmart
CR's test results: TCL 75R617
This set, unlike the 4-series model above it, is a top performer in terms of HD and 4K picture quality, and is among the better sets when it comes to HDR. Note that the similar TCL 75R615, sold only at Best Buy, costs $100 less but lacks the voice remote that comes with the other model. We expect it to perform similarly, though we didn't test it.

75-Inch Samsung 4K QLED Smart TV
The deal: $1,500 at Amazon and Best Buy
This set, the Samsung QN75Q60RAFXZA, is the entry-level model in Samsung's QLED 4K TV series for 2019. We didn't test this set, but we did test the 65-inch version, which did well for picture quality and sound, but not quite as good for HDR. Samsung has cut the price of several of its QLED TVs, so it may be at this price at several other retailers.

75-inch Vizio 4K Smart TV
The deal: $1,500 at Best Buy and Sam's Club
CR's test results: Vizio P759-G1
This P-series set, which sits above the company's midtier M-series sets, performed very well in our tests in all regards, including HDR performance. Two reasons to step up to the P-series sets from the M-series models: higher peak brightness, and a full-array LED backlight with more dimmable zones, which can help improve blacks and contrast.

75-Inch Sony 4K Smart TV
The deal: $1,698 at Dell, plus a $400 eGift card
There's nothing special about Dell's price of this set, the Sony XBR75X900F—except the generous $400 gift card, which sweetens the deal. This is an upper-tier Sony model from 2018. We didn't test this TV, but others in the same series have done well in our ratings.

86-Inch LG 4K Smart TV
The deal: $1,850 at BJ's and Costco
The LG 86UM8070AUB is now about $100 cheaper than it was during Black Friday. It's also about $50 less expensive than the LG 86UM8070PUA model sold at electronics retailers such as Best Buy.

75-Inch Samsung 4K QLED Smart TV
The deal: $2,000 at Amazon and Best Buy
CR's test results: Samsung QN75Q70RAFXZA
This set is a step-up model in Samsung's QLED 4K TV series for 2019. We tested this set, and it did well for picture quality and sound, and had better HDR than the Q60-series sets. Samsung has cut the price of several of its QLED TVs, so it might be at this price at several other retailers.
