The Arizona Diamondbacks are in town, playing the Milwaukee Brewers and the San Diego Padres. September's First Friday art walk is this weekend and we’ve pinpointed the galleries and markets that are worth the stop. And Phoenix Children’s Museum has free admission.

Gloria Trevi at Arizona Financial Theatre

Beloved Mexican singer, songwriter and dancer Gloria Trevi is bringing her Isla Divina tour to Phoenix. The artist, known as the "Supreme Diva of Mexican Pop," will put on a two-hour show complete with 15 outfit changes and more than 20 hit songs.

DJ Steve Aoki at Talking Stick Resort

Have some cake this Labor Day at DJ Steve Aoki's pool party, part of the Talking Stick Resort's "Release After Dark" premium party series. Expect a light show, heavy beat drops and performances of the Grammy-nominated artist's hit songs "Pursuit of Happiness," "Just Hold On" and "Mic Drop."

Pool party at the Clarendon Hotel

The Clarendon Hotel hosts its annual Labor Day Pool Party. DJs will be in full swing and the Oasis pool has cabana rentals, lounge chairs, a HydroSpa and underwater speakers. Fuego, the hotel’s restaurant and bar, will be open for poolside eats and drinks.

Paint and Sip at Brightside Studios

Brightside Studios, a local arts collective, will host two Paint and Sip nights over Labor Day weekend. A ticket gets you a painting class with an instructor and your choice of an alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage. Friday's theme is “Four Peaks Sunset” and Saturday's is "Pearl Beach."

Free admission to Children’s Museum of Phoenix

Whether you want to be outside or indoors, or your child is 3 or 10, this museum has you covered. The Phoenix Children’s Museum will offer free admission to all guests from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2.

Flashlight Night at Desert Botanical Garden

Bring your flashlight to Desert Botanical Garden for an evening of activities, vendors and pop-up experiences for the family. Kids and adults can interact with reptiles at the Creature Feature, and there will be a free-book station for kids. There also will be a nighttime farmers market with local goods and produce.

Catch the Diamondbacks at Chase Field

The Arizona Diamondbacks are up to bat this weekend at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix. The team will play the Milwaukee Brewers from Friday through Sunday and the San Diego Padres on Monday.

Drift down the Salt River

Depart from Mesa for a lazy day of floating the Salt River. This weekend Salt River Tubing is promoting litter prevention by handing out “Stash It and Bag It” litter bags.

Comedian Adam Ray at Tempe Improv

Actor Adam Ray headlines at Tempe Improv this weekend. Ray, who does standup across the country, is known for his "About Last Night" podcast and roles in "Immigrant," "Young Rock," "Spy" and "The Heat." Some shows are for age 18 and older; others are 21 and older.

Arizona Black Rodeo at WestWorld of Scottsdale

More than 100 cowboys and cowgirls are expected from Arizona, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and California for this year’s Arizona Black Rodeo. The event highlights African American contributions to Arizona’s rodeo history. Events include bull riding, calf roping and barrel racing.
