Bargain hunters listen up. Amazon Prime Day is nearly upon us, and as one of the biggest shopping events of the year, it’s a chance to save across millions of products and big-name brands.

This year it will be running from 13 to 14 October, having been rescheduled from its usual July date due to coronavirus.

The pandemic had a particularly devastating impact on small businesses owners so to support shops, Prime members who spend £10 with select small businesses from 28 September to 12 October, will earn £10 to spend on Prime Day.

Electronics is one category that sees its prices slashed by hundreds of pounds on Prime Day, with TVs and laptops being popular items for shoppers.

They’re also often the pricier items that are easy to put off buying, but there’s not a better time than now, as you’ll be able to save while stocking up on the essentials for work and play.

Last year, Amazon said it sold more than 100,000 laptop and 200,000 televisions on Prime Day, in a sale it called the “largest shopping event in Amazon history.”

This year is expected to be bigger than ever, so we’ll be bringing you the best of the deals throughout the sale, so you won’t end up disappointed.

Here we have all the details of the discounts that will be on offer and what’s worth your hard-earned money.

Our IndyBest team hand-picks every deal we feature. We may earn some commission from the links in this article, but our selections have been made independently and without bias. This revenue helps to fund journalism across The Independent.

How can I take part?

The two-day sale is exclusively for customers with an Amazon Prime membership, but if you don’t have one, don't fret as you can sign up for a 30-day trial anytime before the sale starts.

A monthly subscription is £7.99 or an annual one-off payment will cost you £79.

Members have access to same-day delivery slots year-round, Prime Video and Amazon Music, along with being able to download over 800,000 e-books for free.

How can you get the best deals?

One way to get ahead in the sale is via the Amazon app, which will give you first access to the Lightning Deals, flash sales that last only a few hours, and you can set up alerts to notify you when certain deals go live.

Here at IndyBest, we’ll also be bringing you the best deals to shop so you can tick off your shopping list with ease. Make sure to check back here for all updates on the sale.
