The Best Twitter Reactions to the 2021 Golden Globes
NBC
An awards show that's virtually broadcast from all over the world is just begging to be talked about. All the stars stayed home for the 2021 Golden Globes, which meant we had plenty of unusual antics, including some technical difficulties while the trophies were handed out. The night also welcomed a few awkward moments, some hilarious quips, and Jason Sudeikis in a tie-dye hoodie.
As always, the internet was incredibly vocal about the awards show as a whole, so here are the best Twitter reactions from the night, starting with what appears to be Bernie Sanders hanging out with Cynthia Nixon in her Zoom call.

Sudeikis called into the Golden Globes in a tie-dye hoodie, and you know what? He's definitely a quarantine mood, and we're all here for it. Plus, we love Ted Lasso, so, there's that.

There was also an incredibly touching moment where a group of kids were asked if they knew who Chadwick Boseman was and every single one of them said Black Panther. We're not crying, you are.
I am crying like a baby to the kids all knowing Chadwick Boseman! 😢 #BlackPanther #GoldenGlobes pic.twitter.com/xn8yz9dH4G

I don't think those kids got any question 100% right except for one. Every last one of those babies knew Chadwick Boseman was #BlackPanther--& said it with their chests! #ChadwickForever #GoldenGlobes 💜🥺✊🏾🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/rsaMp8pbJI

I may be crying about that @chadwickboseman moment with the kids on the #GoldenGlobes forever

And when Boseman won the Golden Globe for his work in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Twitter came together to celebrate his work and show support for his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, who accepted the award on his behalf.
Thank you Chadwick and thank you Taylor for those words 💔 #GoldenGlobes

Also, this very wise person noticed the uncanny similarity between Kenan Thompson's character on the Golden Globes and his character of Pierre Escargot from All That.

People just also really loved joking about the fact that this whole show is on Zoom, making it a little more relatable than other years.
@Jeff_Daniels at the #GoldenGlobes looks like a high schooler joining the class Zoom after he showered and feels confident turning his camera on. #flexin

Oddly comforting that celebrities are just as awkward as the rest of us on zoom #GoldenGlobes

And we love Jane Fonda just as much as the rest of the Twitterverse.
JANE FONDA MY GRANDMOTHER YES ICON #goldenglobes

For a split second I thought Jane was coming out in one of her tracksuits. With how tonight has gone I wouldn’t be surprised #goldenglobes

We also can't get over Jodie Foster and her wife wearing PJs, chilling with their dog, who was wearing a matching collar. Iconic.
Jodie Foster and her wife in coordinating silk pajamas lounging on a big couch with their dog while on camera to watch the #GoldenGlobes is such a sexy power move.

I relate so hard to Jodie Foster doing this whole thing from bed in her fashion pajamas. #GoldenGlobes

Thank you, Twitter, for making this night *that* much more memorable.
