A nightmarish four quarters of football saw the Kansas City Chiefs stunned on the road in Nashville. The Tennessee Titans kept their foot on the gas for the whole game and didn’t make anything easy on Kansas City. Patrick Mahomes saw a tough day in the defeat, facing constant pressure and putting up one of the worst performances of his career.

The overall showing left Twitter feeling spicy during the course of the game. Here’s a quick look at some of the best reactions tweeted during the game:

The miscues continue for Mahomes as he committed two costly first-half turnovers. As good as the former league MVP has been in his young career, it is apparent that he is having a down year ending the game tied for the NFL lead in interceptions with New York Jets rookie Zach Wilson. Titans running back Derrick Henry finished the half with more touchdown passes, than Mahomes as many on Twitter quickly noted.

The rough day for Mahomes didn’t pertain to only the stat sheet as he was also physically beaten by the Titans’ defense. The revamped Chiefs offensive line didn’t seem up to the task against Tennessee’s pass rushers as they spent most of the game in Kansas City’s backfield. Mahomes was sacked four times and rushed on multiple plays, including a fourth-quarter hit that ended the Chiefs quarterback’s day. Mahomes was helped off the field and quickly checked for a possible concussion, and did not return due to understandable caution by the Chiefs coaching staff.

The odyssey of a season for Clark continues as he is the topic of criticism from the Chiefs’ social media community. The former Pro Bowler hasn’t racked up the sufficient numbers and impact expected due to his extensive resume. Fans are also questioning Clark’s demeanor on the sidelines as he appeared to be enjoying himself in a shot on television during the blowout loss.
