Who wins? Oak Hall volleyball's Pene Moser wins Athlete of the Week

It's high school sports season once again, and time to vote for top standouts.

Each week, the Gainesville Sun curates an Athlete of the Week poll that highlights the week's top performers from Gainesville-area high school sports teams. The poll will be released on Monday and voting will be open through Thursday morning at 10 a.m.

Readers may vote once per hour and are encouraged to share the poll on social media.

The winner will be announced every Friday morning.

For the week of Aug. 22 to Aug. 27, Gainesville-area volleyball players made big returns to the hardwood, while a Buchholz golfer also strung together a successful week.
