Beth Ditto’s Launched A Plus-Size Clothing Line, And It’s Epic

Beth Ditto’s come a long way since fronting Gossip. The singer-turned-model has turned her hand at another venture - designing her own range for fuller-figured women who struggle to find fashionable pieces that fit.

The singer, who walked in Marc Jacobs’ SS16 presentation, has created a line that lives up to her reputation for being “unapologetic” and “uncompromising” - but better still, it’s made up of garments we actually want to buy.

Each piece, available in size 14 to 28, is obviously inspired by Ditto’s love of vintage and is ready-to-wear, requiring no alterations at all.

Vibrant print dresses, tailored pencil skirts, bubble dresses and hand-embroidered worn denim jackets are key items - and ones that look great on women of all shapes and sizes.

And it helps that Ditto launched the collection with some seriously slick lookbook images - styled by her pal and LOVE magazine editor Katie Grand. As well as modelling the collection herself, the pics star top models Barbie Ferreria and Philomena Kwao, which definitely adds to the excitement surrounding the range.

“I wanted to create something all its own, something just for us, made with love and consideration,” the 34-year-old explained.

The collection launches in London (because despite being American, Ditto loves Londoners style) on Thursday and will be available to buy online and in Selfridges. We hazard a guess it will sell out pretty fast, so this is one collection to snap up quickly.
