Bethesda Onelife Fitness gym evacuated after chlorine leak, 2 people transported

BETHESDA, Md. (DC News Now) — Two people were transported after a chlorine leak at a Bethesda Onelife Fitness gym on Tuesday.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) officials said that crews were at the Onelife Fitness on Montgomery Avenue in a post on the platform X just after 7:45 a.m.

Crews evacuated the building as a precaution. Two people were evaluated and transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

MCFRS said that the leak was isolated to a small part of the building’s basement. Around 10 a.m., officials said that crews had cleared the building and determined that it was safe to re-enter.
