FYI: Stetson received an unexpected off day last Saturday. The Hatters were supposed to head to California for a matchup against San Diego, but Hurricane Ian axed their travel plans and forced a cancellation. That game will not be made up, per Stetson Athletic Director Jeff Altier … The Hatters beat Morehead State 38-26 in their last game on Sept. 24 … Marist suffered its first conference loss last Saturday, falling to St. Thomas 38-24 … The Red Foxes hold a 6-2 all-time series lead over Stetson … In 2021, Marist defeated the Hatters 34-3 … The game will air on ESPN+.

The Wildcats lost 35-27 … Tennessee State is coached by former All-Pro NFL running back Eddie George. Next week, Bethune-Cookman will see another former All-Pro when it takes on Deion Sanders’ Jackson State Tigers … Tennessee State came up just short against Lane College 28-27 last Saturday … The Tigers went 5-6 in 2021, George’s first season at the helm, but are still looking for their first win in 2022 … Tennessee State leads the all-time series against the Wildcats 8-2. The two squads most recently battled in 2018 — a 34-3 Tigers victory … The contest will be broadcast on ESPN+.
