Bettendorf residents: Clear snow or get fined

If you live in Bettendorf, time is running out to clear your sidewalks.

The City of Bettendorf will begin removing snow on sidewalks not already cleared from recent snowstorms. Typically after a snow event, residents have 48 hours to clear snow, and if they don’t, they receive a notice. There are fines if city crews come to clear the snow, starting at $35 dollars and up, depending on what equipment will be needed for the removal. Residents are reminded to not shovel snow into the roads and to clear snow from around any fire hydrants on your property.
