PAMELA MALDONADO: The Washington Huskies are 0 and 2 straight up, 0 and 2 against the spread, and they're 17-point favorites at home to an Arkansas State team who is number one in passing yards in all of college football? Uh-uh. I'm not buying this. I am all over Arkansas State Red Wolves. Give me the plus 17 points. And I am taking some on the money line at plus 580.

In week one, Washington played an FCS team and lost 13 to 7 as 22 and 1/2-point favorites. The following week, they lost 31 to 10 to Michigan. Supposedly, the Huskies are second best in passing defense. The stats for Arkansas State are, perhaps, skewed, as well. Don't get me wrong. The Red Wolves did play an FCS team, as well, and lost 55 to 50 against one of the worst defenses in Memphis. Right now, they're averaging 45 points per game and ranked first in total passing offense.

What is so good about this Arkansas State team, though, is they have a two-quarterback system in James Blackman and Layne Hatcher. Nine combined touchdowns, zero interceptions. Washington quarterback Dillon Morris? He has one passing touchdown, three interceptions, and seven sacks. The difference in this game is going to be the defense. Arkansas State has two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and five sacks. Washington? Zero interceptions, zero forced fumbles, just the one sack.

Could Arkansas State come out with the outright win as such big underdogs? Absolutely. We have seen it before just last year, after defeating Kansas State as 13-point underdogs. And give me the underdog. The Red Wolves attack the Huskies team this week, plus the points, plus the moneyline. You can find these betting options and more at the Yahoo Sportsbook.
