MINTY BETS: I'm Minty Bets, and here with me is Ariel Epstein. It's Friday, May 27th, and we are here to give you our best bets on tonight's MLB slate. Funny enough, we have chosen the exact same game yet again.
So, Ariel, why don't you start us off? We're looking at the Kansas City Royals at the Minnesota Twins. What's your best bet for this game?
ARIEL EPSTEIN: I'm going with the team total over 4 and 1/2 runs for the Minnesota Twins. The Twins have attacked Brad Keller in the last two seasons, averaging just over seven runs per game when Keller starts. There's been five different outings between Keller and the Twins in the last two years, and they have gone over Minnesota in four out of those five games.
Keller on the road, he's got a 4.67 ERA. He's not backed by a good bullpen either. The Kansas City Royals have the second-worst bullpen ERA in baseball. Give me the team total over 4 and 1/2 runs for the Minnesota Twins.
MINTY BETS: I love that pick because it helps my pick. My pick is going to be the full game over 8 or 8 and 1/2 runs. Now looking at this offensively, just in the last two weeks alone, the Twins and the Royals rank sixth and seventh in batting average, hitting at over .260 apiece. They're also both top 10 in OPS just in the last two weeks.
Now like you mentioned, Kansas City's bullpen ERA is the second-worst in the league, and Minnesota has given up the second-most homers.
