PAM MALDONADO: Hey 'ya'll. Welcome to "Pam's Prop Shop." Pam Maldonado here. Today, I am tackling some of the best props out of the NFC East. If you are looking for a super long shot, and I do mean a super long shot, then let me see if I can entice you with this one prop. The Washington Football Team, and they did just sign just one undrafted free agent and his name is running back Jaret Patterson. His odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, hear me out, 250 to one. Let's go, let's shoot for the moon.

Patterson with the Buffalo Bulls, he rushed for 4,155 total yards. He also scored 52 rushing touchdowns all in just 33 games. Patterson does also hold the NCAA record for the most rushing touchdowns scored in a single game, eight versus Kent State last season. And when you look at the Washington Football Team, last year they face the ninth toughest schedule of rushing defenses. And yet, you had third round rookie Antonio Gibson who is not only utilized, but he was highly effective.

Gibson had 170 carries in 14 games, 4.7 in yards per carry, and 11 rushing touchdowns. This year, Washington Football Team, they face the 10th easiest schedule of rushing defenses.

- You heard me. Run the die and go. Run it.

PAM MALDONADO: I know that Patterson is a long shot, but it doesn't hurt to put a little bit of banking money on a player to succeed. Pre-season, it is going to be key because if Patterson does make the roster, then he could split the carries with Gibson. But at the very least, I'm letting you know, expect to see some rushing success out of the Washington Football Team this season. It is something to keep an eye out for in the prop market on a week-to-week basis.

Another prop that could be of interest is looking to the Philadelphia Eagle's quarterback, Jalen Hurts, to have success with his legs. His prop is over under 655.5 rushing yards with the over at -110 odds. Where we can see it for Jalen Hurts is in weeks three through 10 when the Eagles face seven teams ranked a bottom nine or worse in defending the run.

I would look at a week-by-week any time a touchdown prop. And the first opportunity could come in week one when they do face the Falcons who gave up 15 total rushing touchdowns on the season in 2020, six of which were two quarterbacks. These are just two prop options available out of the NFC East. You can find these problems and more at the Yahoo Sportsbook.
