Betting: NFL Divisional Round Sunday Best Bets

Minty Bets Ariel, Epstein and Pamela Maldonado break down their best bets for Sunday's slate of Divisional Round games.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: On Sunday, we have two divisional round playoff games. In the NFC, we've got the Rams at Bucs, Bucs -3, and in the AFC, we've got the Bills at Chiefs, Chiefs -1.5. I'm Minty Bets, joined by Ariel Epstein and Pam Maldonado, and we're here to give you our best bets for Sunday. Let's kick things off to Ariel. What do you have for us?

ARIEL EPSTEIN: I love taking the points with the Buffalo Bills this week. I said to our producer Kent, I don't care, as long as they're still the dog, give me the points with Buffalo. I mean, maybe this has a little bit to do with the fact that I'm on them at 12:1 preseason to win the Super Bowl. I'm not backing off. Also, the Chiefs struggle against mobile quarterbacks. The Chiefs allow the fifth-most rushing yards per game to the quarterback position, and one of the most mobile quarterbacks in football is the Bills' quarterback, Josh Allen. He ran for his life last week. He also threw for five touchdowns, so there were five touchdowns offensively scored. I mean, he had one of the best games ever for a playoff game. That was against the New England Patriots, who have been top five all season in points allowed to their opponents. That was no bad defense. That was one of the best in the league. Now he's going up against the Chiefs, who, the Chiefs have gotten better defensively. They're not on the Patriots' level, and Josh Allen made the Patriots look silly. I'm taking the points. You could even put it on the moneyline. This line has already moved in favor of the Bills from +2.5 to +1.5. I love Buffalo this week.

MINTY BETS: Ooh, I love that pick. Pam, what do you have for us?

PAMELA MALDONADO: I am taking the total. I'm looking to the over for the Bills and the Chiefs, because, like Ariel has the futures on the Bills, I have the futures on the Chiefs, and I'm definitely not backing down from them. It is alpha male, and I'm backing Patrick Mahomes in this all the way. But I'm looking to the over in this game. You have both of these teams, they are both fourth and first in points per drive, and I'm gonna be a little bit of a talking head, defensively, I mean, we see what happened against the Steelers last week. It was 0-0 in the first quarter, and then absolutely boom, fireworks happened. And in that first meet, the Chiefs did lose 38 to 20, but there were a lot of points left up on the board. They had two fumbles, two interceptions, two field goals, and turnovers on downs inside of the 30. I don't expect that to happen this time. The Chiefs have turned their offense around in the second half of the season. Give me points, because they're not gonna be able to stop Josh Allen, but I do trust Patrick Mahomes to get downfield and put points up on his own. I'll take the over.

MINTY BETS: OK. I love that pick. And I'm going to the Rams-Bucs game. And, guys, I made the mistake of betting against Brady last week, so I will not be a fool this week. I'm going Bucs -3 here. Now, I know they have a growing list of injuries, but they've still got one of the strongest rushing defenses that should be able to stop the likes of Sony Michel and Cam Akers, and they should be able to put enough pressure on Stafford, so give me the Bucs -3. To recap our picks for Sunday, Ariel has the Bills to cover, Pam has the over in the Chiefs-Bills game, and I'm on the Bucs to cover.
