Betting: NFL Week 5 Best Bets

Minty Bets, Jared Quay, and Pamela Maldonado give their best bets for Week 5 of the NFL season.

MINTY BETS: We are now entering week five of the NFL. I'm Minty Bets, joined by Pam Maldonado and Jared Quay. And we are here to give you our best bets for this week. Let's start with you, Pam. What is your pick?

PAMELA MALDONADO: I'm going with the Dallas Cowboys minus 7 at home. Call it a score pick, all you want but I am taking them boys because they played against the Panthers, who are number one in pass rush, number one rated team in total defense. And look how Dak Prescott and company man-handled that bunch.

Well, the Giants are 30th and 22nd in those respective areas. And I know that this is a divisional game. But the Cowboys versus the Panthers nearly 450 yards of total offense, 8.5 yards per pass, and over 7 yards per carry. Saquon Barkley, he won't be able to run against this defense. And Daniel Jones, he will throw an interception. Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott, they will both have a big game.

JARED QUAY: Love it.

MINTY BETS: Oh, OK. Yeah. I don't want to bet against the Cowboys even though I know they've been covering like crazy. OK. My bet is pretty ugly. I'm actually taking the Jets plus 3 over the Atlanta Falcons. Now, this is a bet on the Jets as much as it is against the Falcons. The Jets finally showed some life last week against Tennessee.

And the Falcons continue to lose leads, lose games, and lose bets. Their offense isn't anything special and their defense is allowing 32 points per game while the Jets defense allowing only 23-ish points per game. I think I'll take my chances here with the "Road Dogg" coming off a win. How about you, Jared?

JARED QUAY: Oh, that's Bo, Minty. You taking the Jets, any time people bet the Jets. I go, "wait." I don't know if I'm ready to say, "wait. Think about it."

I'm taking the team it's own for. I like the Detroit Lions plus 9 against the Vikings. Why? Because the Vikings are only 1 in 3 themselves. This is a divisional game, plus the Lions losses are to good teams and they're very close. I think Dan Campbell and Jared Goff are finally going to get one.

I almost like to put a sprinkle a little bit on the money line. But I just think this Vikings team is too inconsistent, especially on the defensive end for them to cover 9 points. Give me the Lions to maybe win but plus 9 for sure. Also, I like the Broncos if Teddy Bridgewater plays. But that's another pick.
