Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: This Saturday, April 17, we've got an interesting fight taking place at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia between YouTube sensation Jake Paul, a minus 125 favorite, versus ex-MMA fighter, Ben Askren, a minus 110 dog. Here with me is Kevin Iole to give us his insight on this fight. Kevin, what are your thoughts on this fight?

KEVIN IOLE: I'll tell you, Minty, this is really a fight that, you know, you're kind of flying in the dark because what is Jake Paul? He's had a couple of big knockouts, and it was a viral knockout his last time out of ex-NBA slam dunk champion Nate Robinson. It was really quite something.

And a lot of people that I respect and I talk to in the fight game tell me yes, Jake Paul can fight. He's pretty good. now, He's trained by former light heavyweight cruiserweight contender BJ Flores. BJ Flores says he is the real deal. Former undisputed welterweight champion Zab Judah talks about him and says he is a good fighter.

Here's the thing. He's at the beginning of his career, and in Ben Askren, he's going up against a guy who has been to the post many times. Ben Askren's been in the ring with Robbie Lawler. He's been in there with Jorge Masvidal, a lot of really good fighters.

We know he's going to show up. We know what kind of performance he's going to get, and you don't know what it's going to be like for Jake. And the thing that concerns me in this is what do we get-- if we're going to bet on Jake, what happens if he doesn't blow Ben out right off the bat in the first minute or two? Can he sustain and go over a few rounds? So for that reason, I'm going to go with Ben Askren to win this fight.

I know striking isn't his specialty. You know, he was a wrestler, one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of MMA, a decorated wrestler, an All-American national champion. He's not a striker, but I think he'll be able to do the job in this fight. So I will take the underdog here going the distance, and I'll say that Ben Askren defeats Jake Paul.

MINTY BETS: All righty, thank you so much, Kevin.

KEVIN IOLE: Thanks Minty.
