Video Transcript

KEVIN IOLE: What is up, everybody? What a night at UFC 285 here at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. I am Kevin Iole, octagon side. The fight just ended. Jon Jones. Who's really surprised by that? Jon Jones submits Ciryl Gane 2:04 of the first round with a guillotine choke. He is the new UFC heavyweight champion. I want to say light heavyweight. He held that belt for so long, but Jon Jones is the new UFC heavyweight champion.

He closes the $1.85 favorite over Ciryl Gane. It was no contest. It took Jon Jones longer to get into the cage. He made the ring walk. When he got to the opening of the cage to walk in. He had some tape on his feet that the Commission made him cut off. And it took a little bit and it delayed the start of the fight.

But when the fight began, it was all Jon Jones. Jon landed nothing. Jon took him down and got-- got in front of him, got that guillotine choke in and choked him out. What an amazing performance. And I think that solidifies Jon Jones as the greatest fighter of all time.

In the co-main event, Alexa Grasso-- you heard it right. Alexa Grasso who was +600 at that MGM becomes the new UFC women's flyweight champion. She shocked Valentina Shevchenko. She submits her with a rear naked choke. Valentina threw the spinning back kick that she throws so often.

Alexa was waiting for that. She got out of the way of it, jumped on Valentina's back, and she finishes it. She gets the victory and is the new UFC flyweight champion. What a crazy night here at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Jon Jones and Alexa Grasso your new champion. From octagon fight at T-Mobile, I am Kevin Iole for Yahoo Sports.
