MINTY BETS: I'm Minty Bets. It's Wednesday, June 1 and here are my best bets in the MLB today. Starting with the Seattle Mariners at the Baltimore Orioles. Robbie Ray has really struggled in just this month of May, posting an ERA of 5.24. Dating back to 2019, he's allowed at least two or more earned runs against Baltimore, and it doesn't sound like a lot, but it is consistent and we need consistency in our life.

But Orioles aren't the best against left handed pitchers. They're 25th in batting against them and 28th in OPS. But Seattle has the 10th worst bullpen ERA, so I expect Baltimore to score a couple of runs tonight. I love the Mariners to look like they have one of the best offenses, because tonight they face Kyle Bradish, who's not really having a great first season in the league.

I like the over at 8 and 1/2 runs. Next up, the LA angels at the New York Yankees. Both of these teams start a pair of lefties, Detmers for the Angels and Cortes for the Yankees. Cortes is having an excellent season.

So far he's only got an ERA of 1.7, 61 strikeouts and a WHIP of only 0.85. He's done very well against teams with very good hitters. The Angels have been a typically good hitting team, especially against lefties, fifth in batting average and 13th in OPS.

However, they're on a cold streak right now And they start Detmers, who could probably be having a better season. New York's relief pitching is one of the best in the league, so I'll be on the Yankees on the run line. To recap my picks, I've got the Mariners and Orioles over and the Yankees on the run line.
